- "Charles and Adeline Edna McDade, had nine children. A Mary McDade was born in Georgia, about 1809. She married, 1/8/1828, Henry George Washington Cloud, son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Cloud, formerly of South Carolina." (Youngblood-Armstrong & Allied Families by Frances Youngblood & Floelle Youngblood Bonner)
Charles McDade's intestate papers, signed March 17, 1840 by his brother Alexander McDade, list the children of his deceased daughter, Mary "Polly" McDade Cloud, first wife of Henry G.W. Cloud. Their children are listed as Charles Cloud, Jeremiah Cloud, Alexander Cloud, Elizabeth Cloud and Jane Cloud.

| Notes |
- Her birth date said to be 1809 (rather than 1800) by Wesley Jacobs, one of her descendants.
Of her burial, Geraldine Talley writes (10-27-98): "Where is Manning Springs Cemetery? It is outside Montgomery, Alabama and very difficult to find. It is in a little community called Mt. Meigs. which was called "McDade Settlement" because so many McDades who came to Alabama settled there. It has no access now, the iron fence that once surrounded it is gone, most of the tomb stones are gone or mutilated and a mobile home settlement is now encroaching into the cemetery itself. I was there this summer. The McDade family association is very concerned about the condition of it. Charles McDade was a soldier in the War of 1812 and there was a big to-do about placing a three foot bronze marker on his grave in the 1930s, all reported by Frances Youngblood in the Birmingham paper. That marker is gone. James McDade, the Revolutionary War soldier is supposed to be buried there, as well as his granddaughter, Mary McDade, the wife of H.G W. and my GGGGrandmother. The McDade family is on line and are accepting donations for buying the area and replacing the fence and hopefully, a marker with the names of those that have been researched and shown to be there."
